The Boston Archdiocese is holding the line on no meat on Fridays during Lent, even though Fenway Park's opening game falls on Good Friday this year.
(Click Here). On the Christian holiday commemorating the ultimate sacrifice, Boston's Catholic baseball fans will have to sacrifice a hot dog. The spokesman for the archdiocese said it was very insensitive to Catholic fans to schedule opening day on a day when they couldn't eat a hot dog. No mention of how insensitive it is to the hot dog vendors, who are the real victims of this decision.
