Unfortunately, it doesn't look like any of them are the people who keep calling me to try to get me to tack on new "services" and "insurance" to my credit card account.

That's because if you want to maintain or increase your business, or find new clients to replace those who leave, you do not sack your salesmen.
Go to the online BOA page, and at the bottom of the page, click on the "Privacy & Security" link to 'Set Your Preferences'. This is where you can go in and tell it to not share your info with 3rd parties and BOA affiliates -- for both your bank accounts and credit cards. It might take a couple of weeks to go into effect, but afterwards you will no longer get those annoying calls all day long for 'special offers'. You might have to renew your preferences in a year, but it is definitely worth the few minutes it takes to fill out the online forms.

But I can understand your frustration.
