Happy Solstice
I'm a little late on the Solstice well-wishing, but only because I was asleep at 1:08 a.m. EST today. Hooray for more daylight! It's all uphill until June.

So is this a case of the glass half full/empty? As I see it, I worked awful hard dealing with the days getting shorter and now the days begin to get longer, yippee! Its coasting downhill from here with a big WHOOP-ITY-DOO! on summer solstice as we head uphill again. --Ann O.
Well, for the sun, it's uphill since the winter solstice marks the point where it is lowest in the sky at noon. For those of us who think short days bite, it's a downhill coast.
My rule of thumb for the glass half full/half empty question: always find out what is in the glass.
