The handy-dandy indoor/outdoor thermometer currently shows an outdoor reading of 4 degrees Fahrenheit. If that media slut of a marmota in Punxsutawney sees his shadow next week, I may snap and try to warm myself with a hearty groundhog stew. No, not Woodrow. He's an innocent marmota, who is currently hibernating under the barn like any sensible animal would be. I don't expect to see him for another couple of months.

There are those in the NW who would pay big money to see you clean and cook the ingredient of honor.
Windy! Our local airport is said to have 65mph winds today, a mile up the road from me.
Not cold wind, though,

Very cold. Ok, relatively speaking. It has barely eeked above freezing for at least a week now and no snow, just cold! I'd join you for that marmot stew!

Still windy, seems worse. I'm checking roof tiles on mine and my neighbour's bungalows.

After next week the weather will warm up. Congress and all the state legislatures will be back in session. Global warming will begin again.
Super Dad
I find it ironic that you post interesting and thought provoking insights about far deeper topics and yet the old stand-by of weather generates the most comments.
Keep up the penguin perspectives, they brighten my day...so did the laugh from Super Dad's comment! Incidentally, we finally got our snow (dusting) after too long of only frozen ground!

The weather affects all of us, while on many topics, like old, b/w films, I have nothing to add.
Keep it up, Pengy,
Nimrod
