Insert Handel Music Here

Six hours, 23 minutes left until the midnight cutoff date. Word count:

50,003!

Permit me to woo-hoo at this point.

I still want to work in a little bit more, part as a cushion, and part because there is still one part that needs some more said. But I made it to 50,000 in a month.

Go Sis! Horray for you! Way to go! I knew you could do it! Now back to our regularly scheduled sibling rivalry! :) Just kidding...great job and a big pat on the back. Now call your mother, she's calling me wondering if I have heard from you or if you rotted away in your manuscript. :)

Yay! She's done. I guess that means I'll have to stop the "beatings of motivation" the "sleep deprivation of intimidation," the "whipping of inspiration," and the "anal probing of....." well, that was just for fun.

Just kidding. Congratulations. I can't wait to read it. --That Anonymous Guy Whose Closet Space You've Taken Over 50% Of.

hey anonymous guy who is my brother-in-law, you mean she only took over 50%? I could have sworn she had more clothes than that! Glad to hear you still have space to hang your suits;) and you can give her one more motivational beating just for me! A broom at 5am does wonders!

Congratulations! I knew you'd do it! Now comes the hard part, putting those 50003 words in ORDER! What, you've done that too? AMAZING!!!

I wrote a little bit on the first day then all hell broke loose at work. I've worked between 71 and 83 hours a week for the last 7 weeks (no overtime), so moan moan moan, being a retail store manager during holiday season kickoff is simply not conducive to novel writing.

I love the idea of the one month deadline, so I plan on doing my own private make-up NaNoWriMo month in March (Hee hee, I get an extra day! I was about to choose February and decided to pad my deadline instead of cropping it short!)

P.S. I just booked my hotel waaaay in advance for the 2005 San Diego Comic Con! See ya there? I'll be staying at the Bristol, same as Gary, so plan on givng the three blocks radius surrounding that unfortunate hotel a wide berth or be caught in a Grooism or three!!!
