A school in California is looking to teach a course on Intelligent Design as an elective philosophy course instead of as a component in science class. That, I would say, is a positive development. Unfortunately, their course outline seems to lack anything close to the level of intelligent design that supposedly created the universe. I guess having an intelligent designer does not automatically make one intelligent.Note to teachers: if a guest speaker’s bio contains a closed date range immediately after his name, (e.g. “Francis Crick, 1916-2004”), that means he is dead and very likely declining future invitations for speaking engagements. As snarkiness is unbecoming, I will stop now.
